Founded in 2001 as Webgistix, the company was acquired by Rakuten in 2013 and rebranded as Rakuten Super Logistics. In August 2022, FirstMile founder Devin Johnson reacquired the asset from Rakuten and rebranded it ShipNetwork. Johnson remains CEO and owner of both ShipNetwork and FirstMile/KNCT as sister companies.
